SEK Educational Group has held its traditional SEK Say, and event that this year served to pay a special and heartfelt tribute to Felipe Segovia Olmo, founder of the Group, who was recently granted the Grand Cross of Alfonso X the Wise, the most prestigious award given in the field of education in Spain. His figure, his legacy and his example were also present during the II Felipe Segovia Symposium.
Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Group, highlighted this well-deserved distinction awarded to her father Felipe Segovia Olmo, in her address. ‘I would like to congratulate him, wherever he is, because he joins the ranks of the order of the Grand Cross of Alfonso X the Wise as one of the most important teachers, thinkers and educational entrepreneurs of the last 50 years.’
In addition, she made special mention of the role played by María Rosa Bonet, wife of Felipe Segovia. ‘I am sure that if SEK is what it is today it is thanks to the silent, prudent and effective work of my mother.’
