Discovering Ireland

As every year at SEK-Dublin, we organize a trip in the middle of the second term for our students to discover Ireland.This year MYP1, MYP2 and MYP3 had the opportunity to travel to Cork City. Through the programmed activities, our students enjoyed the natural environment through different environmental, cultural, sporting and artistic experiences lived as a team.

Among our most outstanding activities the students discovered the historical centre of the city with a professional guide. They enjoyed the wonderful island of Fota and its incredible zoo and lived the experience of boarding the Titanic at the museum dedicated to this mythical ship, in the city of Cobh, our students experienced these activities with enthusiasm and returned with a new confidence.

This is based on working together to achieve common goals. Therefore, throughout the year, our team of teachers deal with emotional and social intelligence, and it will be in experiences such as these trips that the students will reap the rewards of this programme which fosters empathy, companionship and respect.
