Excursion to Dublin Zoo

Last Saturday 6th May we had the opportunity to visit Dublin Zoo. Dublin Zoo has 28 hectares which attracts over a million visitors a year. Officially Ireland’s biggest family attraction, it not only provided a great day out for all students, but also a journey of learning and discovery about the world’s precious wildlife.

All our students thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a great deal from the different species of animals they were able to observe in naturalistic spaces with vegetation, substrate and aquatic elements reflecting their native habitat.

In addition, Dublin Zoo financially supports a number of conservation projects which have benefited great apes, tigers, rhinos, golden lion tamarins, African wild dogs and amphibians.
