SEK-Dublin students had the opportunity to visit the beautiful town of Wicklow and its wonderful beaches.
Wicklow Town is the capital of the county of Wicklow. According to local history, the Vikings founded the town around 795 AD.
We were able to visit the harbour and the surrounding area as it plays a vital role in the life of the town, both commercially and as a tourist attraction. We thoroughly enjoyed a walk along the beaches of Murrough, a coastal wetland, very popular with walkers and nature lovers, where we enjoyed beautiful views of the city and the coastline. On this walk we were extremely lucky to see a group of very friendly seals swimming and playing.
